Summer Support Fund
What is the Summer Support Fund?
The Summer Support Fund is a sum of money given to students who are unable to work during the summer vacation.
Who can apply?
To apply for the fund students must be full-time Home undergraduates who have paid all tuition fees in full and are in receipt of the full entitlement of Maintenance Loan. In addition students must meet one of the following criteria:
- be a single parent with dependent children under the age of 14
- have a permanent disability that prevents you from working, or can provide evidence of long-term illness that prevents you from working for a minimum of four weeks
- be the primary carer of a disabled or seriously ill person
- be on an integral placement throughout the summer vacation 2012, AND
- have no other income source once your Maintenance Loan has been exhausted.
Final-year students are not able to apply for the fund.
The Summer Support Fund is CLOSED.
