From September 2012 onwards eligible part-time students will no longer have to pay their tuition fees up front. Those studying at 25% intensity can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of the tuition fees. In addition there will be a range of grants, scholarships and bursaries on offer to those who meet the varying criteria.
International students are not normally eligible for grants and loans from the UK government. Find our more about fees and funding for international students.
Tuition fee loans will be available for the first time in 2012 to UK and EU to part-time students to help pay the cost of tuition fees. To be eligible for the loan you must generally be studying on a higher education course for the first time and must complete a minimum of 25% of the equivalent full-time course load per year. If you start in September 2012 you will only start to repay this loan after April 2016 if you are earning over £21,000.
