Docklands

The Docklands site consists of Aqua East, the AVA Building, the Business School, Children's Garden Early Years Centre, East Building, Knowledge Dock, North Building, Sports Dock, and West Building as well as our Halls of Residence.

Aqua East

Aqua East is primarily a social space for students in the Halls of Residence. It is occasionally used for special events which must be booked through the Residences and Events team.

AVA Building

This building is a specialist teaching building used primarily by the Schools of Arts and Digital Industries and Architecture, Computing and Engineering.

The Ground Floor consists of lecture room AVA.G.26, specialist teaching rooms, a gallery, fine art studios, photography studios and dark rooms, architecture studios, workshops as well as academic and administrative offices.

Level 1 houses three computer rooms, crit rooms, fashion and textiles studios, a cutting room, a photographic studio, some architecture studios as well as some academic offices for the Schools of Arts and Digital Industries and Architecture, Computing and Engineering.

Business School

The Business School is situated at the western end of University Boulevard adjacent to Knowledge Dock.

The Ground Floor contains the IT Trading Floor which consists of several computer clusters which can be used for both teaching and open access. The IT Helpdesk, the student print area, and the Library Archive Room are also situated on this level. Lower level access to the Main Lecture Theatre (MLT) is available on this level.

Level 1 houses the Library, Library staff and provides upper level access to the Main Lecture Theatre

Level 2 consists of the Library and is home to Skillzone.

Level 3 consists of teaching rooms BS.3.02, BS.3.03, BS.3.04, BS.3.05, BS.3.06, BS.3.12, BS.3.14, BS.3.18 and BS.3.22. A number of Royal Docks Business School academic staff also have offices on level 3.

Level 4 houses the Royal Docks Business School Helpdesk, administrative and academic staff.

Children's Garden Early Years Centre

This building is situated in University Boulevard between Felix House and Clare House and houses the Nursery and Children's Garden.

East Building

The largest non-residential building on campus, the East Building incorporates a majority of teaching space as well as academic offices, administrative offices and research space.

The Ground Floor incorporates The Atrium, The Edge Refectory, Coffee Culture, a bookshop, the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering Helpdesk and the School of Arts & Digital Industries Helpdesk (incorporating the Social Sciences Helpdesk for the School of Law and Social Science). There are teaching rooms EB.G.05, EB.G.06, EB.G.07, EB.G.08, EB.G.09, EB.G.10, EB.G.11, EB.G.14, EB.G.16 and EB.G.18, the Security desk, a small number of School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering academic offices, the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering administrative offices and a Facilities office on this level. The Print Centre and the Post Room are also on this level

Level 1 is home to teaching rooms EB.1.01, EB.1.03, EB.1.04, EB.1.07, EB.1.08, EB.1.40, EB.1.41, EB.1.42, EB.1.44, EB.1.45, EB.1.46, EB.1.62, EB.1.63 and EB.1.105. The Matrix East research facility is on level 1 as well as External and Strategic Development Service and the Graduate School. The Timetabling Unit, School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering academic offices as well as School of Arts and Digital Industries academic and administrative offices are also on this level.

Level 2 consists of teaching rooms EB.2.41, EB.2.43, EB.2.44, EB.2.45, EB.2.46 and EB.2.88 as well as the Vice-Chancellor's Group, Financial Services and IT Services. There are also a number of School of Arts and Digital Industries academic offices on this level along with the Matrix East research facility

Level 3 contains teaching rooms EB.3.11, EB.3.15, EB.3.16, EB.3.17, EB.3.18 and EB.3.19 along with the Centre for Institutional Studies, the Ludology Laboratory, the School of Arts and Digital Industries postgraduate study area and School of Arts and Digital Industries administrative offices.

Knowledge Dock

Knowledge Dock is a shared building housing both UEL academic spaces and Knowledge Dock Business Incubation Units.

The Ground Floor consists of Knowledge Dock Reception, a coffee shop, The Petchey Centre for Entrepreneurship, a number of business incubation offices, FabPad and several specialist teaching facilitiies for the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering

Level 1 is home to a number of business incubation offices, the Sustainability Research Institute, teaching rooms KD.1.28, KD.1.29 and KD.1.30 as well as the Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Product Design laboratories

Level 2 accommodates several business incubation offices, high status meeting and presentations rooms for Knowledge Dock clients, the Molex Postgraduate Study Suite, as well as specialist teaching areas for the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering.

North Building

The North Building is home to the Student Union, Student Services and the School of Combined Honours.

The Lower Ground level accommodates Spring Personnel, a multi-faith room and the Prayer Rooms

The Ground Floor consists of the Cashiers office and the Student Union Helpdesk.

Level 1 is home to the Student Union offices, teaching room NB.1.01 and the Chaplaincy.

Level 2 houses the Student Services helpdesk and offices, the DDAC offices, and the School of Combined Honours helpdesk

Sports Dock

Our newly constructed Sports Dock building is home to UEL Sports facilities, offices and teaching rooms.

The Ground Floor houses UEL Sports Reception and first aid area, Sports Arenas, Fitness Suite, the Strength and Conditioning room and Munch Coffee Shop.

Level 1 consists of teaching rooms SD.1.03, SD.1.04, SD.1.08, SD.1.09, SD.1.12, SD.1.13, SD.1.14, SD.1.22, SD.1.23, and SD.1.24. UEL Sports offices, a meeting room and a hospitality kitchen is also on level 1.

Level 2 has an Aerobics Studio, changing rooms, and Financial Services offices.

West Building

West Building houses teaching rooms, Corporate Marketing, the International Office, specialist teaching areas for the School of Arts and Digital Industries as well as various catering areas.

The Ground Floor consists of Oscars Coffee Bar, Bite catering outlet, lecture theatre WB.G.02 and several specialist teaching rooms which are part of Media Production Services

Level 1 houses teaching room WB.1.01 along with Media Production Services teaching rooms, editing suites and studios.

Level 2 accommodates Corporate Marketing offices, the International Office and teaching rooms WB.2.01, WB.2.02, WB.2.03, WB.2.04, WB.2.05, WB.2.06, WB.2.07 and WB.2.09.

Stratford

The Stratford site consists of Arthur Edwards Building, Clinical Education, the Conference & Computing Centre, LT02, LT03, R Building, Sir John Cass School of Education and Communities, and University House. Duncan House is a satellite building in central Stratford.

Arthur Edwards Building

The Arthur Edwards Building has a catering outlet and is shared by the Schools of Psychology and Health, Sports and Bioscience

The Ground Floor accommodates The Green refectory, Facilities offices and Psychology research suites.

Level 1 consists of teaching room AE.1.01, the School of Psychology Helpdesk, School of Psychology research space and academic and administrative offices.

Level 2 houses the School of Psychology meeting room and academic offices

Level 3 is home to School of Psychology academic and admiistrative offices along with a postgraduate teaching room

Level 4 houses School of Health, Sports and Bioscience academic offices

Level 5 accommodates the School of Health, Sports and Bioscience administrative office along with several academic offices.

Clinical Education

Clinical Education is a specialist building for teaching Professional Health Sciences and also houses the NHS Foot Health Service.

The Ground Floor consists of several physiotherapy laboratories, the Foot Health Service Reception and consultation and treatment rooms

Level 1 consists of a number of physiotherapy laboratories, a seminar room, and several Foot Health Service treatment rooms

Level 2 consists of Sports Science laboratories and Foot Health Service laboratories

The Conference and Computing Centre

The Conference and Computing Centre houses the main reception area for the campus, several teaching rooms, a large lecture theatre and the IT Computer Bays.

The Ground Floor consists of the main reception area, a bookshop and teaching rooms, CC.G.04, CC.G.05, and CC.G.06

Level 1 houses Lecture Theatre CC.1.01, an IT Services office, teaching rooms CC.1.17, CC.1.18 and Computer Bays CC.1.08, CC.1.09, CC.1.10, CC.1.11, CC.1.12, CC.1.13 and CC.1.14.

Level 2 accommodates Computer Bays CC.2.01, CC.2.02, CC.2.03 and CC.2.04

Duncan House

Duncan House is home to the School of Law and Social Sciences fields of Law and Criminology along with HR Services.

The Ground Floor has an open access computing area, Duncan House Restaurant, teaching rooms DH001, DH030, DH032, IT teaching room DH014 and the Law and Criminology Helpdesk and administrative and academic offices.

Level 1 accommodates the Law & Criminology library, teaching rooms DH108, DH110, DH113, DH123, DH124, as well as Law academic and HR Services offices.

LT02

LT02 is lecture theatre 2 which accommodates 300 people

LT03

LT03 is lecture theatre 3 which accommodates 200 people

R Building

R Building is a temporary building consisting of several teaching room, a catering outlet, Student Services, a Combined Honours Helpdesk and an Employability office.

The Ground Floor accommodates The Buzz Bar, the Student Services Helpdesk and offices, RNIB and teaching rooms RB.G.13, RB.G.14, RB.G.15, RB.G.16, RB.G.17 and RB.G.18.

Level 1 consists of teaching rooms RB.1.01, RB.1.03, RB.1.04, RB.1.14, RB.1.15, RB.1.16 and RB.1.17 along with DDAC offices

Level 2 has a wellbeing rooms, Facilities offices and teaching rooms R.2. 11, RB.2.12 and RB.2.23

Sir John Cass School of Education and Communities

The School is housed within its own building.

The Ground Floor has the School's reception and Helpdesk, administrative offices and several specialist teaching rooms used for PGCE programmes

Level 1 consists some of the School's academic offices

Level 2 accommodates teaching rooms ED.2.01, ED.2.02, ED.2.03 and ED.2.04

Level 3 houses some of the School's academic offices

Level 4 consists of teaching rooms ED.4.02 and ED.4.03 along with IT teaching room ED.4.01.

Level 5 consists of more of the school's academic offices.

University House

University House is a listed building housing the campus library, a small coffee shop, several teaching rooms, a computer area, School of Health, Sport and Bioscience and Sir John Cass School of Education and Communities specialist teaching areas, the School of HEalth, Sport and Bioscience Helpdesk, the Prayer Room, UEL Direct offices, the Post Room and teaching rooms UH048, UH052, UH056, UH132, UH136, UH 201, UH202, UH238, UH241, UH242, UH247, UH248, UH269, UH303, UH304, UH308, UH311, UH312 and UH313.

Level 0 accommodates the Post Room, the Prayer Room, the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience Helpdesk, University House Coffee Shop, and several School of Health, Sport and Bioscience teaching laboratories. The Student Union is accommodated separately in 'The Dome' which can be accessed through University House on this level. The campus library is also housed on this level although access to the library is only possible from Water Lane.

Level 1 has a small number of teaching rooms and some School of Health, Sport and Bioscience academic offices

Level 2 consists of several teaching rooms, several School of Health, Sport and Bioscience research and teaching laboratories, an open access computer area and a Sir John Cass School of Education and Communities specialist teaching laboratory.

Level 3 has several teaching rooms, a postgraduate research office and the UEL Connect office.
