We have secured a parking area at Gallions Reach Shopping Centre for exclusive use of UEL staff and students and comprising approximately 125 spaces. The area is marked as ‘Car Park E’ and is situated at the far end of the complex. It will be open from 0730 hours Monday to Friday and will remain open until all vehicles have vacated. Vehicles should not be left overnight.
Staff members who wish to use this facility will be required to display UEL off peak parking permits which state ‘Gallions Reach’ on the permit in order to be identified as authorised users of this area.
Students who have extreme difficulty in using public transport may also apply to use this facility by completing the relevant application form and returning it to Dr. Sandra Bell by e-mail s.bell@uel.ac.uk but should be aware that spaces are very limited.
Gallions Reach management operate a parking management system which incorporates the issuing of penalty charges so it is essential that authorised UEL users of this facility display the appropriate permit. UEL has no jurisdiction over the parking management at Gallions Reach and will be unable to intervene in cases where a penalty charge has been issued in accordance with their published guidelines.
We are running a mini-bus between Car Park E at Gallions Reach and Cyprus Station for staff and students. The bus will run a constant shuttle service during the following times:
Authorised users of this service will be provided with a card by the shuttle bus driver which they should produce on request when boarding the bus.
Please note that the Gallions Reach facility should not be regarded as a permanent arrangement. The service or individuals’ use of the service may be suspended at any time. If this happens users will need to find an alternative method of travel.
