About PRSS

PRSS 2012 is an important element of UEL's strategy for enhancing your experience as a student and will allow us to see what progress we have made in this area since the national (PRES) survey conducted in spring 2011. The PRSS will ask you for your views on the quality of a range of areas including your supervision, the school and university facilities available to support your research, and how you feel about the professional and researcher development offered to you.

We are keen that as many of our postgraduate research students as possible respond to the survey, so we are again running a Prize Draw. The first prize is £200 and the second £100 – both in Amazon vouchers. To complete the survey, you have to enter your Student ID number, and doing so will automatically enter you into the Prize Draw. Full terms and conditions of the Prize Draw follow below. Your ID number will only be used to enable access to the survey, for entry into the Prize Draw and to allow us to collate aggregate demographic data.

The survey is primarily intended to be conducted online – just follow the link from this page to access it; the deadline for online responses is Thursday 10 May. Some students find it preferable to complete the survey on paper, which must be returned by post, or in person, on or before Friday 4 May .

Accessing the Survey

Letters and copies of the questionnaire have been sent to all students with a UK contact address which enclose details of your username and password to access the survey online. (Internationally-domiciled students will be emailed). If you do not receive this letter, please check UEL Direct to ensure that your contact details are up to date and contact us for further advice. We will also be emailing reminder messages including username and password details as the survey period passes.

If you decide to complete the response on paper please don’t forget to give us your student number, otherwise we cannot submit your responses to the PRSS database or enter you into the prize draw.

Help and Advice

If you have any questions, please contact the UEL PRSS Project Director, Dr. Alan White, on a.p.white@uel.ac.uk or 020 8223 2776.
