Dear Colleagues
The diverse staff and student community of UEL are a source of pride for the university. We have been consistently recognised by our staff and students and the wider community as an inclusive, safe and tolerant institution. We strive to provide an environment where people feel safe and are able to express themselves. In an effort to maintain and enhance the cohesiveness of UEL, we are rolling out a programme of diversity training for all staff. In recognition of the busy schedules of our staff community and embracing cutting edge technology, the training will be available online. This will allow colleagues to work through the programme at their own convenience.
The programme contains rich content that is easy to navigate and provides an interactive experience. The programme contains a compulsory module, Diversity in the Workplace, which all staff MUST complete. There are also two optional modules, Diversity in Learning and Teaching, and Equality Impact Assessment Training. All staff are welcome to also work through the optional modules as well, however, they will be particularly useful for staff involved in learning and teaching and managers that will be involved in conducting Equality Impact Assessments.
In order to start the programme please click on the link below and register yourself by entering your name and email address. You will then be sent your login details. Upon logging in you will be taken to the list of courses from which you can make the appropriate selection.
