UEL is a truly diverse and multi-cultural university with students from around 120 different countries studying here. We understand that being away from your country of origin can be a daunting experience for many students. However, please rest assured that UEL is dedicated making your stay as comfortable as possible and aims to meet all your welfare needs. This section gives a brief outline of some of the key services that are available to you.

• Counselling – There is always someone available to offer you guidance on personal and social matters.
• Childcare and nursery – For UEL students who have children, support is available.

• Transportation – Students travelling to UEL campuses on the London Underground should visit this page.
• Student Union – UEL's Student Union UELSU is a place where students can voice their opinions. It's also the place where most students do their socialising.
• Clubs and Societies – By joining one the many clubs and societies available to UEL students, you can meet more people and improve your conversational skills at the same time.
• Employability – Many students find that they need a part-time job to help finance their studies. That's why UEL has a Jobshop helping students find work that fits around their studies.
