Accommodation

Homestay or Halls of Residence?

UEL halls of residence accommodation is mainly offered to its undergraduate or postgraduate students. This may be available for students on a pre-sessional course but you need to apply directly to our residential services after you have received your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies and UEL ID number. Places in Halls of Residence are offered subject to availability.

For students enrolled on the pre-sessional course, we would recommend the homestay option. Homestay accommodation involves living with a local family whilst studying on the pre-sessional course. This allows you to meet more people and to improve your English more quickly.

Prices for the homestay option vary, depending on if you want breakfast and/or dinner included, if you share a room or stay alone.

How do I apply?

Write an email to dlres@uel.ac.uk. In the email include the following information:

Can I organise my own living arrangements?

If you would prefer to organise your own living arrangements, then that is fine. However, please ensure that you are familiar with your journey to UEL before the course commences. The pre-sessional courses are intensive and require students to attend all classes on time.
