The Language Centre runs English language proficiency tests for students whose first language is not English. These tests are aimed at potential UEL students who need an IELTS/TOEFL score but who cannot get a test date before their UEL degree course starts.
The test covers academic reading and writing skills as well as a short oral interview at a later date. This will then provide evidence of your ability to work effectively in English. We advise students to leave around 2.5 hours free for the reading and writing test.
Please note that if your test results indicate that you need to study on our pre-sessional course prior to starting your degree programme, you will need take IELTS, TOEFL or the Pearson’s Test of English (Academic ) before we can offer you a place on the pre-sessional course.
To arrange a test, please use the booking form below. Tests currently run every Thursday, 1pm at the UEL Docklands campus.
There are a limited number of visitor parking spaces available at our campuses, we may be unable to accommodate visitors who arrive without securing a pre-booked parking space. For this reason, visitors are advised to use public transport.
