What is TalenTeam?

TalenTeam is an Employability and Enterprise Team (EET) initiative to provide enrichment and enhancement opportunities that will help you develop the skills you need to successfully navigate the world of work, or build your own business.

Through our research and working with employers, they have told us what they value in their recruits, and using their information, we have created this personal and professional development programme. The skills you will gain being a part of TalenTeam can be used in your academic work too, helping you to increase your focus on your studies.

Monthly activities will include a combination of:

  • employability skills workshops
  • personal and professional development activities
  • business and enterprise challenges
  • career or business coaching and networking

The activities work together to help you identify your strengths and build on the areas you need to develop. TalenTeam  will enhance your employability skills and abilities,  boost your ‘know how’ and help you prepare for the career or business you want.

You will be required to keep a record of the activities you complete in a reflective journal, outlining the skills and attributes you have developed that will help you win that job or start your business.

The aim of TalenTeam is to create adaptable professional individuals who will be ‘opportunity ready’ for the employment and business market.

How do you become a member of TalenTeam?

TalenTeam is open to all students (including those on postgraduate courses)and graduates.

Your commitment to taking part in all TalenTeam activities is essential, as all elements work together to provide a rewarding, enriching personal and professional development programme for you.
