Economic Challenge Initiative Fund (ECIF) has created over 2500 internship opportunities for graduates. This is excellent news and, in partnership with HEFCE, we now want to built on that success by asking the universities involved to make those opportunities available to graduates on the GTP website - due to go live towards the end of July. This is a real opportunity to contribute to the success of the internship programme. It gives employers access to a wide pool of talent, and offers graduates the opportunity to demonstrate what they've learned at university at the same time as developing the skills and experience they need to be successful in the workplace.
The GTP will include a free on-line matching facility, and when you register your vacancies on the employer site you'll also be able to specify a number of tailored questions about skills, qualifications or experience for graduates to answer. Only suitably matched candidates will be able to apply for the vacancies, which will assist you in bringing together the right graduate and the right employer more quickly.
