A CV (Curriculum Vitae) is a document containing your personal information and summarising your education, employment and personal experience. CVs provide employers with information about your knowledge, skills, experience and personal attributes which allows them to decide your suitability for the job or role on offer.

To ensure you have an excellent, comprehensive and well presented CV to give you the best chance of getting an interview, book an appointment with us on the numbers below.

Careers Counselling

Careers Counselling can offer information, advice and guidance for UEL students (up to 2 years after graduation).

A appointment can help by:

  • Providing you with an opportunity to focus on your career direction and guidance about the options available with your degree.
  •  Empowering you to make well informed and realistic decisions about the options and opportunities available.
  • Developing an action plan with you and identifying the practical steps that you will need to focus on to achieve your career goals.
  • Considering the options if you are thinking of changing, or leaving your course.
  • Reviewing post graduate or PhD opportunities.
  • Developing an awareness of your transferable skills and marketing yourself within a specific sector.

Quick Query Sessions:

  • No need to book an appointment just drop-in
  • The session will last for 20 minutes
  • Students/graduates can have their CV, covering letter or application form checked, or a brief discussion about career options.
  • Those attending the session must bring all the relevant printed copies with them for example, copy of CV or covering letter
  • The sessions operate on a 'first-come, first-served' basis

The sessions will be held at the following times:

Docklands campus: Tuesdays 2pm-4pm (Spring office)

Stratford Campus: Wednesday 2pm-4pm RB2.25

The UEL Employability Team offers an E-guidance advice service. We aim to respond to your enquiry at the email address you supplied as soon as possible.
