2008: Top Marks Again for Secondary Initial Teacher Training at UEL!

The University of East London is officially one of the top-rated education institutions for secondary teacher training and the Secondary PGCE programme was the first programme in London to be awarded Grade 1, the maximum possible score for quality by Ofsted, the Government's Office for Standards in Education. We were then awarded Grade 1 again in the following year. Following the Ofsted inspection in February 2008, we have been given a Grade 1 (Outstanding) once again for Management and Quality Assurance of our Secondary programme and additionally Ofsted have stated that Secondary training is Grade 1 (Outstanging) too. This makes us a Category A provider.

Below is a list of key strengths identified by Ofsted in the report.
