Eligibility for Membership to the ECS Degrees Network

• Those running ECS degrees in Higher Education
• Those interested in pursuing the aims of the network
• Commitment ( as some may be there because their universities are demanding course because they recruit well)
• Researchers, specifically those working towards the following strategic objectives:
• Information exchange
• Impacting degree formats and practice (including ITT)
• Infrastructure/development
• Advocacy
• Research and publication
• Those involved in creating an infrastructure and in developments in the field
• Those acting as advocates in the field

NB: There will only be one named representative from each institution plus one e-mail address. However, a deputy or substitute could be nominated to attend a meeting, when necessary, provided the network has been informed.

Details of Membership

• Annual membership/renewal will be collected once a year, in September. Members will receive a reminder.
• Membership for one year is £100.00
• An annual up-to-date membership list will be circulated to all members. If you do not wish to have your details circulated to other members, please indicate on your application form.
• Members who do not renew their membership will have their names removed and will not receive any correspondence.

Meetings of the Network

General Meetings

The Early Childhood Studies Degrees Network holds full network meetings at least twice a year on a week-day, usually in London, open to all members of the network. The AGM is generally held in November/December of each year.

Working Party Meetings/Standing Committees

These will be set up as necessary to work on specific issues, including quality assurance, research and development issues.   Previous working groups developed the ECS degrees with Practitioner Options and the QAA ECS subject benchmark.

The number of meetings will be determined by perceived need.
