Did the internship influence your choice of employment/career path?

I was in this employment while studying my degree. The internship has influenced my life in that it made me realise that I enjoy conducting research. Although the internship finished a long time ago there is still work to be done which I am still involved with.  In the future I am looking to study to become a mental health nurse.

What was most exciting /enjoyable about the internship experience?

The whole experience was exciting and enjoyable especially working with professionals in the field of Psychology.

What challenges, if any, did you face during the internship and how did you overcome them?

the challenges that I faced was to get the participants to meet the deadline. I overcame this by advertising more and approaching people to participate in the study and I was able to meet the deadline.

What key skills or knowledge did you gain from the internship?

I was able to build on my communication skills, also build on the courage to contact people to participate in the research.

What would you say to undergraduates who are thinking about applying for an internship?

I would tell them that it is a really good opportunity to take up especially in their second year because it will help when conducting their dissertation.
