What are you doing now?  

Continuing Undergraduate study at UEL

How has the internship experience impacted on your academic work to date?

It has improved my skills in academic research which helps completing my final year project. I also expanded my network of connections to individual academics and researchers as well as academic institutions.

What was most exciting /enjoyable about the internship experience?  

The most exciting experience was to be involved into the research project related to the computer systems' security. I enjoyed all internship, even when I faced various project difficulties; they allowed me broaden my view and grow in the field of research.

What challenges, if any, did you face during the internship and how did you overcome them?

Quite simple, to be honest - concentration and hard work grow the sweetest fruits.

What key skills or knowledge did you gain from the internship?

More confidence and knowledge in the computer science field. As I studied quite a few scientific papers I got better at it, understood how to summarise my notes which would be reusable when trying to produce written piece myself.

What would you say to undergraduates who are thinking about applying for an internship?

Just do it. It is a great experience to work with professionals in the field, you'll gain more knowledge and enhance your CV!
