Programme Specification for Printmaking (Joint or Minor)

Campus: Docklands

Why Study Printmaking as part of a Combined Honours Degree?

Drawing is a fundamental communication tool which allied with Printmaking forms the basis of our mass media culture. Printmaking is probably the earliest form of multi-media and has traditionally attracted exponents that marry concept and craft.

In the field we are seeking to encourage students to value the relationship between traditional and new technologies situating their work appropriately within the context of contemporary practice.

Our goal is that all our students be able to produce, conceptually and practically, their own independent work and to fulfil production responsibilities relevant to their practice.
