Programme Specification for Marketing (Major, Joint or Minor)

Campus: Docklands

What will I study?

Marketing is more than about how to sell things, although this is an important part of it. Marketing is also about finding out what the potential customer or client wants, producing products or services that are valued and finding ways of maintaining good will and repeat business.

It specifically allows you to address the following issues:

  • What makes people buy one product rather than another?
  • How can an organisation plan a marketing strategy?
  • What trends and changes are occurring in marketing in an increasingly interconnected and globalised world?

Which modules will I study?

You can view a full guide to the modules you have to study as part of your chosen pathway, along with a full range of option modules available by viewing the Single & Combined Honours Programmes Guide for Marketing

Can I study a Combined Honours Programme as a Part-time degree?

All our Combined Honours Programmes can be studied on a Part-time or Full-time basis. As a Part-time student, you will study the same degree programme, but at a slower pace. You will study up to 4 modules per year (instead of 6 as a full-time student).
