Programme Specification for International Business (Major, Joint or Minor)

Campus: Docklands

Why study International Business as part of a Combined Honours degree?

With a long history of teaching business management programmes matching industry-based learning with academic excellence, UEL's Royal Docks Business School gives you everything you'll need to fast-track your career. You'll be studying within one of London's most diverse business schools, based in the heart of the capital's Docklands -  just a few miles from the City and the towering skyline of Canary Wharf.

The programme focuses on the way businesses work across the world and gives those considering a career in business a solid foundation. You'll develop an in-depth knowledge of the issues that surround international business and the current debates within the field. You'll also learn how to critically explain and comment on the techniques used in multidisciplinary business and become adept at applying tools to solve business problems. You'll also discover how to analyse and evaluate the structures, processes, and contexts of international business and be ready to apply these skills in a real world setting.

What will I study?

International Business Studies introduces you to the latest business concepts and management techniques while exploring how businesses operate across borders and how businesses are affected by and contribute to increasing internationalisation or globalisation

It specifically allows you to address the following issues:

  • How organisations react to differing business environments
  • The methods used to establish competitive strategy
  • How organisations operate within the context of an increasingly interconnected and globalised world

Which modules will I study?

You can view a full guide to the modules you have to study as part of your chosen pathway, along with a full range of option modules available by viewing the Single & Combined Honours Programmes Guide for International Business
