We are proud to announce that Dr Paolo Falcarin has just won a Promising Researcher Award for his paper on Software Protection for Remote Applications. He will receive HEFCE funded support in order to pursue his research interests.
The Product Design team is proud to announce that our 3rd year student Rachel Muli won this year's prestigious Royal Society of Arts Design Directions prize. Originally two of our 3rd year students, Rachel Muli and Alex Camp, were shortlisted in the same category 'designing out crime'.
This new programme will be offered from February 2010.
The Duke of York's Award for Creative Use of Electronics was recently awarded to James Buckley from King Edward's School. Presented by Professor Mohammad Dastbaz, Dean of the School of Computing, IT & Engineering.
Last year Dr Haris Mouratidis, Principal Lecturer in CITE, was invited to present his vision and views on how we should be engineering secure software systems on a NATO Advanced Research Workshop on "Operational Network Intelligence: Today and Tomorrow".
On 29th October 2009, Lord Rix, Chancellor of the University of East London, conferred honorary awards upon Liam Kane, Chief Executive of the East London Business Alliance (ELBA); Government Peer, Baroness Denise Kingsmill and well known writer and broadcaster, Sathi Ludhianvi.
