East London has an astonishingly rich diversity of religious groups, and thus many opportunities for exploring and celebrating the differences and the common ground between faiths. There is vital work to be done in building mutual knowledge, respect, and friendship between people of different spiritual and cultural backgrounds. UEL Chaplaincy invites you to contribute to this through your prayers, your interest and your practical involvement.
If you are interested in interfaith dialogue at UEL, please contact any of the Chaplains to find out more.
Within this area of East London the local ‘Faithful Friends’ project based in Forest Gate organises regular events and welcomes new members. Contact: Revd. Pat Mossop pat.mos@btinternet.com
For details of places of worship of many different religious traditions in the UEL area, contact Aston Mansfield (Community Involvement Unit), who publish the 'Newham Directory of Religious Groups'.
For information on interfaith matters at the national level, contact the Inter Faith Network for the United Kingdom.
