Harriot is the founder of De Bouverie ltd, a jewellery brand and collective of designers.
De Bouverie offers accessibility to unique, one-of-a-kind jewellery created by independent designers. It is about promoting these designers, vouching for their authenticity and providing a platform from which busy professionals can source beautiful, high quality pieces with trust and ease.
As a young entrepreneur with a passion for individuality, Harriot was fed up with badly designed jewellery, coupled with poor quality and lifeless mass production. She launched De Bouverie in late 2011, having previously worked in the city to make ends meet.
Having always had an interest in business and start ups, Harriot has been involved with many programs in the past, including selling jewellery at school, charity fashion shows, mentoring and lecturing. However, it is her unique background that includes art college and detailed City working that has enabled her to tap into a market of individuals who lack time but have an understanding of quality and want only the best for themselves and their loved ones.
Independent designers are hard for the consumer to track down without prior knowledge of the industry, so Harriot aims for De Bouverie to help provide that service, by offering a central marketplace to which people can come, for impartial advice, bespoke commissions and ready to wear pieces.
