A rare occasion to have two of the foremost pioneers of computational design come ‘back’ together to discuss their approaches to the field.
Coates and Frazer are responsible for some of the most radical thinking in computing & design, introducing the architectural field to the concept of self-organization with applications of cellular automata, neural networks, genetic algorithms/ programming and much more.
Paul Coates will be opening with a talk about Algorithms as Representation.
Followed by John Frazer ‘online’ who will show some of his work and have a discussion with Paul and the audience.
As this is an evening event, drinks and some snacks will be provided.

Chris Williams is a front-runner in the field of digital geometry and has delighted the community with feasts like the Digital Tectonics conference and publication, as well as the computational design support for the British Museum, to mention but a few.
Williams will be showing some of his recent work in the field.
As this is a lunch event, snacks will be provided.
The location for those presentations will be the ground floor reception area at Aedas Architects offices:
5-8 Hardwick Street© 2006
