The Edge serves a range freshly prepared hot and cold food, which will satisfy all tastes. For breakfast choose between a range of cereals, yogurts, pastries, juices or a fully cooked breakfast. For lunch and dinner we serve a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes as well as a Halal option each day. A recent addition to The Edge is our new salad bar, stocked with a delicious variety of fresh produce. We also provide a take away service for all our meals.
Take some time out from your busy study schedule and enjoy our new Café Direct Fairtrade coffee on our newly installed decked veranda. We offer a full range of soft drinks, beverages, good value sandwiches (hot and cold) and a tempting assortment of cakes, pastries and snacks. After 6:00 pm you can still relax in the area and use our vending machines, which are filled daily.
Newly refurbished this exciting new outlet offers food on the go for those needing a quick snack but also internal and alfresco seating for those wishing to spend time looking out across University Square and the Dock. The Bite offers hot filled baps or warm pastries with a coffee or juice for an early morning boost then a takeaway selection of sandwiches, salads,pies and pastries, jacket potatoes or ready meals for the lunchtime rush.
If you are running between classes all day, Café Culture is for you. Located in the heart of the Atrium, the café is provides a take away service where you can grab a coffee, pastries, sandwiches or snacks throughout the day. After 2pm our snack and beverages vending machines are located directly next door and are replenished daily.
Another one of our more intimate venues, the Knowledge Dock Cafe is a great place to meet with classmates, surf the net or just relax. You can choose from a wide range of beverages including our Café Direct coffee and some delicious cakes.
After a complete refurbishment over summer 2010, The Underground Bar will become the on-campus entertainment venue. We offer a range of premium alcoholic beverages and soft drinks as well as our new Café Direct coffee. During term time the bar is open seven days a week. Meet with friends during the day, work on group assignments or just sit back and relax with a drink after a long day of study. There will be a full programme of entertainment throughout the term and everyone is welcome.
Another of our summer 2010 refurbishments, Aqua East is the new social space for students. Developed with you the student in mind, Aqua East provides full WiFi access, plasma TVs, a pool table, table tennis and lots of comfy seats to sit and relax with friends. There are a number of vending machines on site where you can purchase a variety of beverages and snacks.
Over the summer period landscape furniture was installed along the whole length of the Campus (Dockside) and within the University Square. These table and chairs provide ideal locations for you to relax and socialise with friends over a coffee or take-away snack and enjoy the vibrant views over the Docks and Canary Wharf.
