Newly Qualified Teachers

The majority of UEL trainees, both primary and secondary, become NQTs in the local area.  In Barking and Dagenham, for example, in September 2011 47% of primary NQTs were trained at UEL.  We work through the UEL Alumni Network to keep in touch with our former trainees and to provide professional development and networking opportunities.  The Cass School Employability Manager liaises closely with the ITT teams to ensure that we remain in contact with former trainees as their careers develop and they return to work with UEL as mentors.

UEL offers a wide range of services to support you to gain employment. UEL's Employment and Enterprise Team can provide further information.
