Behaviour management

Trainee teachers develop excellent behaviour management skills, underpinned by the understanding that “good teaching is the most effective way to get good behaviour” (National College for Teaching and Leadership, 2012).  Trainees appreciate that by planning “dynamic, stimulating lessons based on sound assessment and excellent subject knowledge,” they will encounter fewer difficulties with behaviour in the classroom.  Trainees also develop an effective range of classroom management skills and are equipped with strategies to handle more challenging behaviour.
