Brief biography

I am the programme leader with responsibility for the B.A. degree in Education and Community Development. I completed a doctorate in Educational Anthropology at the University of Hull (1993). I am currently researching on: Carnival Arts Education; The Anthropology of Carnival, Steelbands in schools, and Migrants and refugees in east London.
