Royal Docks Business School benefits from a unique location at the heart of Europe’s largest development area and close to the site of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the City of London.

We offer excellent transport links across London from our Docklands Campus. Nearby London City Airport offers fast and frequent flights to mainland Europe and North America, with onward connections across the globe.

The School has some 70 qualified lecturers and professors covering the full range of Business areas. Programme delivery is underpinned by high quality academic research and real-world commercial and management expertise.

Our expertise

All undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are designed on a modular basis – giving scope to build specialist courses that develop relevant career skills and knowledge.

Core fields of study at the School comprise:

  • Accounting – general and specialist options, including analysis and interpretation of data and researching and communicating financial information.
  • Economics, Finance and Risk – international and corporate finance, with specialist options such as portfolio management, security valuation and financial, operational and enterprise risk modelling / reduction.
  • Human Resource Management (HRM) – key skills for senior leadership roles, including recruiting and developing people, organisational development / research and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
  • International Business Management – balancing theory and practical knowledge, key areas include team work, problem solving and decision making, as well as international trade and ethical / social responsibility.
  • Leisure Management – covering the major leisure business sectors of events, hospitality, music, sport and tourism and with a focus on areas such as strategy, management and marketing.
  • Marketing – a rigorous and holistic approach to the discipline, and with a focus on consumer behaviours, market research and customer relationships. Specialist programmes exploring brand management and international / global marketing.

Education Services

MBA Students

Management professionals from Germany study the Royal Docks Business School MBA via our agreement with the University of Applied Sciences in Köln. Students have regular classes at the University in Köln, and have periods of intensive study at Docklands campus.
