Our Programme

1) London Financial Markets Programme

The course studies the economic functions and efficiency of financial institutions and markets in the United Kingdom. You'll gain an in-depth understanding of the key theoretical ideas and issues within the finance and economics field and develop the analytical skills you'll need to discover the inner workings of the financial world. Daily site visits will be conducted including the London Stock Exchange, and financial organizations and banks (Barclay’s, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Lloyd’s). There will be visits to the Bank of England and the Financial Services authority.

2) International Business Communication

This course focuses on the communication aspects of international business particularly directed toward the ways in which culture impacts those communication behaviours. London is the perfect location to study this interaction both in terms of the local and global environment. The module will concentrate on the communication behaviours of the international leader in her/his responsibilities through navigating cultural settings and with diverse audiences. Students will apply their knowledge through case study work and interaction with corporate executives to discuss questions of workplace diversity, race, gender and ethnicity in the United Kingdom.

3) Sports and Sports Management

Our new multimillion pound SportsDock facility at the Docklands Campus further cements UEL’s aim to establish itself as the leading university for sports in London. The course will give you the opportunity to understand the place of sport in the economy and society, and will cover key areas including sports marketing, coaching, fitness and health and sports science. Field visits within the Sports and Sports Management sector will include: Arsenal, Chelsea

4) Governing Global Business

The international business course gives students an immersion into British and global business practices. This module is about the economic performance of countries and the role that markets and society play in shaping the economic performance of countries and businesses that exist in these countries.

Each day will comprise of a morning of lectures and seminars from our academics and business leaders followed by an afternoon visit to a multinational firm or organisation.

5) Luxury Brand Management

Armani. Gucci. Burberry: if the idea of managing and building brands like these excites you, then our Luxury Brand Management 3 week programme will be perfectly suited to your goals and aspirations. On this short course the role of strategic thinking in luxury brand management will be taught and examined. In addition, the course will introduce key areas of brand communication, consumer behaviour and brand valuation. It will develop qualitative and quantitative analytical skills in these areas which are vital for any brand management role. There will also be field trips in London and talks by leaders and practitioners in the luxury brand sector.
