Leading advisor and trainer in area of Islamic banking and finance world-wide to financial institutions as well as academic institutions.  PhD supervisor in area of Banking, Finance, Corporate financial management, risk management, fund management, banking regulations, Islamic banking, international business  and other finance,  accounting and management related subjects with a number successful completions. Supervising a number of research students and as well as holds visiting professorial roles in universities all over the world. Authored over sixty peer reviewed research papers, which have been published in international journals and conferences.  A number of papers have been listed as “highly recommended and read papers by leading publishers. Have successfully supervised a number of PhD research students and had experiencing of organizing international level conferences and short courses.

Currently have been commissioned by Oxford University Press as a sole author as their core book on “Financial Markets and Institutions” as their lead author in banking and finance area. This first book titled “The truth about the Global Banking Crisis” and sold a number of copies. His second book “Islamic Banking and Islamic Finance” out recently and have been very well received. His third book “Financial Management Theory and Evidence” is expected to be out soon.
