Chau joined the University of East London from 2012. He holds a BSc Accounting (University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam), an MSc Finance and Investment with Distinction (University of Durham) and a PhD in the area of finance and accounting (University of Kent). All of his degrees are sponsored by various prestigious scholarships, including the Chevening, Shell Centenary and scholarship funds from the universities where he studies. He has experience working as an auditor for Ernst & Young, a freelance consultant and a lecturer teaching various modules in finance and accounting. His research interest lies within the area of behavioural finance, market-based accounting, corporate finance, earnings management and security valuation.
