Brief biography

Dr. Andres Coca-Stefaniak has seven years of international management experience in the private sector (Shell International and Anglo American plc) and over ten years of experience in academia as International Partnerships Manager, Senior Lecturer and Course Director (MSc programmes) with teaching and international project research responsibilities in place management, city marketing and branding, event evaluation, urban revitalisation and retail management. Over this period, he has secured over 6 million euros of European Union funding and managed a variety of large transnational project partnerships with chambers of commerce, local authorities, retail trade associations, town centre management partnerships and universities in 14 EU countries. Andres is currently UEL Project Manager of the £1.1 million Zero Impact Event Network (ZEN) pan-European project co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund’s INTERREG IVC programme.

Andres has published internationally in Polish, Spanish and English, in addition to advising local authorities and retail trade associations in Spain, Poland and the UK. He holds a B.Eng. (Hons - 1st class) degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Nottingham, an MSc in Engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of York, an MSc in Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from University of the Arts London and a Doctorate from Middlesex University.
