Brief biography

Christopher Seow is a Principal Lecturer in Operations and Sustainability and is also responsible for executive education provision as Director of Executive Education at the University of East London’s Royal Docks Business School. A Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he has over 18 years of hands-on experience, covering all phases of operations management in major organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Chris has experience of working in markets across Europe and the Far East and is currently Visiting Professor in Service Operations and Sustainability at Hainan University (China) and Honorary Visiting Fellow in Lean Six Sigma and Sustainability in Operations Management in the Faculty of Management at Cass Business School (UK). Christopher is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Operations Management and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Business Process Management Journal. He is an Expert Advisor to the JISC Relationship Management Programme, acting as ‘critical friend’ to the institutional CRM process improvement and alumni engagement projects. His current research pursuits are in Lean Six Sigma in Service Operations and Sustainability especially in Hospitality Sector.

Christopher is the current Vice President of the Chartered Management Institute’s City of London Branch and a Senior Member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
