Christina Stirk started her working life in banking with the Royal Bank of Trinidad & Tobago. After three years there, she worked in the auditing department of Touche Ross & Co (Trinidad) (now PricewaterhouseCoopers, Trinidad) while studying for the ACCA. Once qualified as an accountant, she moved to Touche Ross & Co in London (now Deloitte & Touche LLP) as a taxation senior. Subsequently, she worked for three years as deputy group taxation manager at WH Smith Group plc. Christina Stirk joined UEL as Senior Lecturer in Taxation, and later in Auditing. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
