UEL Royal Docks Business SchoolPeter’s academic background spans philosophy, economics, business and policy studies. After completing two BA degrees in Nairobi, he won a scholarship to the University of Louvain in Belgium where he obtained a MA (Philosophy, Economics and Ethics) in 1993. Peter enrolled as a Doctoral Student in 1994. In 1995 he was a visiting researcher at London Business School, and pursued MBA from the University of Hull. Between 1996- 1999 he served as an Assistant Professor in the University of Louvain (Belgium). Peter completed his PhD entitled “Recasting the Strategic and Economic Mandates of Business” in 1999 (Louvain) and was thereafter hired as Dean of Business School at Uganda Martyrs University. Peter worked with the NGO on anti-corruption and poverty reduction strategies during the Jubilee campaign before taking office again as Dean of Business, Director of Post-graduate studies and DVC academics at Kampala International University.
Having had several visiting professorial positions in the USA (the University of Notre Dame, Peter undertook research in corporate governance and global social responsibility) and within Africa.
Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Responsible for MSc International Business and Management programme, student recruitment activities to the programme. Supervisor of BA, MBA and MSc Management Dissertations.
Peter has keen interest in and have consulted in Strategic Planning; Strategy and Governance; Transformation/Corporate Turnaround strategies; Business Ethics; Environmental Ethics; Strategic Leadership; Anti-corruption strategies and Public Policy and Management.
