Royal Docks Business School is known locally and internationally for its research and excellence in entrepreneurship, finance, diversity and business, and has a number of leading research centres in these areas. We strive to provide a transformational learning experience and are focused on developing diverse students beyond their traditional degree programme.
This centre was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Noon Foundation, and Lord Noon Kt, MBE, a British businessman originally from India. He is the Non-Executive Chairman of Noon Products (now a Member of Kerry Foods Ltd) which he founded in 1989 and until September 2003 was also its Managing Director. After establishing several successful businesses in India, which he still operates, he settled in London in 1973 to set up Bombay Halwa Ltd (Royal Sweets) in Southall. The company, of which Lord Noon is Chairman and Managing Director, specializes in Indian sweets, snack foods and aviation catering. He is a Trustee on the Board of several prominent charities. He also served on the Board of Transport for London as well as the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and was its President for a two-year term until 2003. Appointed by Act of Parliament, Lord Noon was also Director was also Director of the Board of the Covent Garden Market Authority for a six year term. He remains an energetic force at Noon Products and is still passionate about producing even more sophisticated varieties of high quality, authentic ready meals for an ever increasing market.
Lord Noon was awarded an MBE for his services to the food industry in 1994, Knighted in 2002 and made a life peer with the formal title of ‘Baron Noon of St. John’s Wood’ in 2011.
He is Chairman of The Noon Hospital and Research centre in Rajasthan, India which was sponsored by his charity, Zeen-Zar Charitable Foundation Trust. With its integrated and high-tech infrastructure, state-of-the-art operation theatres and highly intellectual and experienced staffing teams, the hospital offers the highest quality of professional care for people of Rajasthan.


Management professionals from Germany study the Royal Docks Business School MBA via our agreement with the University of Applied Sciences in Köln. Students have regular classes at the University in Köln, and have periods of intensive study at Docklands campus.
