The Research group in Ethics and Risk in Finance provides a forum for colleagues to present research ideas and concepts and provide support and development opportunities for new researchers. The research group also seeks to facilitate the identification and progression of collaborative research and knowledge exchange projects. Improving the support for and recruitment of doctoral students is an important role of the group in fostering an active research culture, investing in supervisory capacity and nurturing skills and knowledge in research supervision. Externally we seek to develop links with other institutions: academic, government and commercial. We will also provide a focus for knowledge exchange activity. This is achieved by promoting the value of research undertaken within the research group and facilitating collaborative responses to knowledge dock proposals. We welcome membership applications from external institutions and individuals.
Research on ethics within thegroup comprises work on Islamic Banking, Ethical Investment and Corporate Social Responsibility and Reporting.
