Getting Down to Business Week

Stand out from the crowd!

Bank of England XING Games 2010 Our students at the Excel centre

As part of our drive to give you (our students) the best possible opportunity to get a graduate level position and a long and successful career, we annually stage the highly popular “Getting Down to Business week” in January/February before the start of semester B.

Activities include:

Networking event Mentoring Opportunities
Mock Assessment centres Entrepreneur workshop
A variety of guest speakers Placements & Internship talk

The idea is to provide a range of activities at least one of which should be appropriate to every student, and which should complement the work that the students complete in the skills part of the curriculum.

The sessions give students an invaluable insight about the current state of the different employment sectors, what employers are looking for when recruiting students & graduates, and what they can do to stand out from the crowd plus much, much more!
