UEL's Royal Docks Business School is both a provider of business and management education and a major player in the economic regeneration of East London. This, together with our experience, close links with local, national and international businesses, and ideal location at the heart of the rapidly growing Thames Gateway region, enables us to deliver programmes that offer real relevance to today's fast-moving business world. We have a 70-strong academic staff team and excellent administrative support. Our School has grown in recent years to over 3,500 students from 100 nationalities, and we are proud of our diverse global community. For details on staff click on the ‘staff link in the left hand column.
In keeping with developments in the region, we are committed to developing innovative programmes, such as our new Masters degrees in the areas of finance, project management and risk management, and a suite of new programmes in the music management, travel and tourism management, and sports and event management areas. Equally, we look to provide new and flexible ways of delivering our programmes, enabling students to gain valuable career-enhancing qualifications without disrupting busy work or family commitments.
We already offer an exciting range of programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In particular, we have over 20 years experience of delivering MBAs. We have particularly strong subject fields in finance, economics and accounting; project and risk management; strategy operations management and marketing; and human resources and organisational behaviour. Many of our programmes lead to exemptions from and accreditation with professional bodies.

We have a growing research profile, in areas highly relevant to modern business practice and the process of change in the workplace. In an age when management and organisations are continually evolving, we aim to find new ways of thinking and operating, bringing together themes such as leadership, management, operations, new technologies and training.
The School has a long tradition of delivering high-quality management training to major organisations such as Ford, Logica, local authorities and the NHS. We offer particular expertise in small business, delivering programmes to new entrepreneurs and start-ups; public management; international business & management; and work & employment.

"To be a successful businesswoman, you've got to be hard working, positive, and energetic, but you've also got to learn the tools of the trade. My degree at UEL wasn't just about getting a qualification, it was about learning the key skills I needed to start up a solid business".
