Within the School there are five key fields of study: Architecture; Digital Arts & Visual Communication; Fashion Textiles; Fine Art; and Visual Theories and Research. UEL has established a national and international reputation for excellence and creativity across these fields. In the most recent government research exercise, Art and Design achieved a 4 rating, confirming its strength at international level. UEL is also highly regarded for architecture and was rated excellent in the government teaching assessment. All of the School’s architecture programmes received unconditional validation by the Royal Institute of British Architects
