Student Liaison Officers

Welcome

SLOs are a team of recent graduates employed by University to resolve individual student issues and empower student groups to find ways of improving UEL's student experience. We've used this website to provide information, advice and guidance about the ways in which students can resolve their questions, queries or concerns.

Get The Support You Need

Our aim is to help you find the support or answer you need quickly. In our Get Support Here section we've listed scenarios we know students find themselves in, and provided information, advice and a link to a UEL team for each of them.

If your particular situation isn’t listed, please email us so we can discuss your needs directly and work out an action plan. We aim to respond to emails on the day we get them, but please allow up to three working days for a response.

Help Us Improve

We really value student feedback because we know it can improve our service. If you have any suggestions for how our website could be improved, please get in touch.

I am the SLO for the Stratford campus, which means I work closely with the following Schools:

  • Cass School of Education and Communities
  • Health, Sport and Bioscience
  • Law and Social Sciences
  • Psychology
  • Combined honours.

I graduated in 2009/10 with a degree in Forensic Science from the University of East London. During my time at UEL I was a Programme Rep and thoroughly enjoyed helping my student body raise its voice to improve our experience as a whole. In my role as SLO I hope to make your experience at UEL a fantastic one!

I’m the SLO for the Docklands campus, which means I’ll be supporting:

  • Architecture, Computing and Engineering
  • Arts and Digital Industries
  • Royal Docks Business School
  • Combined Honours

I recently joined UEL after spending six years at Leeds Trinity University College. I did a Theology degree and then went on to spend two brilliant years as President of the Students’ Union. I loved my time in Leeds and I got involved with everything! My aim now is to help UEL students enjoy their studies as much as I enjoyed mine.
