Session Overview

Title	Managing Students and Materials in UEL Plus
Length	120 minutes
Overview	This staff development session is designed for those who already use UEL Plus but would like to find out more about how you can organise your materials well and also manage your students well. The session will include: Managing your students - putting students into groups; selectively releasing different materials to different groups; using the 'tracking' in order to e.g. find out which students have't logged on yet or whether individuals have accessed certain materials that you have asked them to consult. Managing your site - using the various options within 'selective release' of materials (e.g. for a specific period of time, or to make materials that you have already uploaded available on a certain date); making sure that your files are clearly named and organised within your file system.

Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of accessibility and good navigation within a UEL Plus site.
- Assign students to groups.
- Track students and their use of materials.
- Selectively release files, folders or learning modules.
- Create folder in File Manager and manage files accordingly.

Booking this Staff Development Session

Group Session

This staff development session can be delivered as a standalone session for a small group (between 4-8 participants). If you are interested in arranging a standalone session for a team or department please email elearning@uel.ac.uk with details of the session(s) you are interested in.

Individual Session

If you are interested in attending a centrally organised session please email elearning@uel.ac.uk with details of the session you are interested in. Depending on individual interest we will endeavour to run at least one session a semester.
