Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Carry out the basic set up of the smartboard
- Use the ink layer
- Utilise the basic functionality of Smart Notebook to enhance teaching and learning. Including
- Move around within Smart Notebook, accessing menus and right clicking
- Understand pen and eraser functions
- Convert hand writing to text
- Create, delete, clone and move pages
- Navigate between pages using the page sorter
- Use colour for text, drawing and backgrounds
- Draw arrows and shapes
- Change object properties
- Insert and move text and pictures
- Export Smart Notebook sessions to UEL Plus
- Develop an understanding of how Smart Notebook can enhance learning

This staff development session can be delivered as a standalone session for a small group (between 4-8 participants). If you are interested in arranging a standalone session for a team or department please email elearning@uel.ac.uk with details of the session(s) you are interested in.
Individual Session
