| Overview | Academic staff often express a desire to present content in UEL Plus in a more professional manner, but feel that they cannot devote the necessary time required to become proficient in producing web pages using HTML coding. This session will provide participants with a shortcut to producing professional looking web pages in Dreamweaver without learning HTML coding. By the end of the session you will be able to format the look of your web pages, insert images, insert email addresses, insert named anchors, open URL's in a new window, create simple tables, etc. Please note: In order to be eligible for this training you must have attended an Introduction to UEL Plus training course, or be proficient at the basic functionality of UEL Plus. |
Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Create a web page.
- Tailor the overall appearance of a web page using a pre-defined stylesheet.
- Add images to a web page.
- Insert email addresses in a web page.
- Insert named anchors (internal links) in a web page.
- Insert links to external websites that open in new window.
- Create and edit simple tables on a web page.
- Use WebDAV to upload web pages from Dreamweaver to a UEL Plus site.

This staff development session can be delivered as a standalone session for a small group (between 4-8 participants). If you are interested in arranging a standalone session for a team or department please email elearning@uel.ac.uk with details of the session(s) you are interested in.
Individual Session
