Fully trained by the UEL Peer Mentor Team, Peer Mentors are here to listen to your concerns, give advice and signpost you to the right services! They are also there to help you make friends, settle in and accompany you to our free social events and extra workshops.

What is Peer Mentoring?
A Peer Mentor is an individual who can offer guidance, support and knowledge to enable a mentee to settle into a new environment. As they are a 2nd or 3rd year student they are already a few steps ahead in their university career so are able to do this.
Mentoring can be conducted through face to face meetings, email or e-mentoring, messaging and text to offer support to the mentee through sharing their own experiences and ideas, answering questions and offering encouragement.
There are so many benefits to being a Mentor or Mentee such as developing loads of transferable skills, meeting new people and building your confidence as well as gaining some great experience for thier CV.
