Students can nominate as many staff as they wish. Each nomination must be submitted on a separate nomination form in the appropriate category.
Yes, you can nominate a member of staff in as many award categories as you want as long as you fill out their details on a separate nomination form for each category.
Whilst it is not absolutely essential, the more you can tell us about why you feel they deserve an award the more likely they are to win.
Yes, any member of UEL staff can be nominated. That’s why we have created categories that can include technical and support staff, as well as academics.
We would like to involve students in the awards as much as possible. If your nomination is chosen as the winner, you will receive a written certificate and will be asked if you would like to present the award to the member of staff at the awards. Don’t worry you won’t have to make a speech, unless you want to of course!
The students who submitted the winning nominations will be informed by the judging panel.
If your nomination is shortlisted but doesn’t actually win, the member of staff who you nominated will have their name displayed with other nominees on a poster in your School.
A panel of judges, consisting of students and some academic staff, will decide which they think is the best nomination. They will consider how well the member of staff seems to have met each of the criteria for that award, based on your written submission.
The winners receive a trophy and a certificate, presented at our awards event in April. Winners do not receive any money or gifts.
