As Learning Systems Manager, I lead the Systems Team in APLE. Most colleagues are aware of us as we support the institutional VLE, but our work is far wider, taking in technologies such as social networking, blogs and wikis, or virtual worlds, as well as the production of quality learning materials. Beyond working with current, production systems, we collaborate with the E-Learning Team and other colleagues throughout the institution to investigate and develop further technologies.
Before coming to UEL as VLE Developer, I worked for 14 years in commercial IT then decided to study for a degree. I gained a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Commerce from LSBU in 2004, and PGCE (PCET) here at UEL in 2005.
