The First Annual Fund Awards Ceremony
As a result of the generosity of its alumni and other friends, the University was able to hold its first Annual Fund Awards Ceremony in September, at which the first recipients of Annual Fund student hardship and start-up research grants were announced. The event was hosted by our Vice-Chancellor, Prof Patrick McGhee, and alumna and honorary award holder, Baroness Prosser. Details of the event and the recipients may be found on our website by using the links below. The Annual Fund aims to raise money in support of four key projects: student hardship grants; start-up research grants; a new library at our Stratford campus; and a new sports complex at our Docklands campus. We are now raising funds for the 2011 grants, and are aiming to increase both the value and number of these awards.
