Alumni UK network (www.educationuk.cn/alumniuk) is a platform specially created by British Council to facilitate interaction and exchange between alumni upon their return from the UK. Started in 1999, it has grown to be a network of more than 13,000 UK graduates around China.
Joining the network, you can:

The UK Alumni Network (UKAN) is pleased to announce the publication of the 2009 Career Guide for UK Alumni in Malaysia.
UKAN is a web-based portal designed to help Malaysian UK graduates stay in touch with the UK. The launch of the network was inaugurated by HRH, The Duke of York (Prince Andrew) at a ceremony in Kuala Lumpur on May 21, 2001, and currently has a membership base of 11,000 UK graduates.
One of the chief benefits of joining UKAN is Job Help, an employment avenue established by British Council to help Malaysians with UK qualifications find employment in the country in a faster and more efficient manner. The Career Guide is the latest complement to our commitment to help UK alumni to better understand the job market in Malaysia, and thus increase their chances of securing better jobs.
UKAN membership is free for all Malaysians who possess a UK qualification (minimum of an advanced diploma). Alumni can register to become members at www.ukan.org.my.

Bernd Zimmermann (MBA International Business 2005), Christian Metzner (MBA 2005) and Gerald Koenen (MBA International Management 2005) have started up a German speaking regional group for the regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It is a registered society and part of the British Council. They host a variety of events and offer various services to alumni living in Pakistan. The British Alumni (Singapore) is a society of UK graduates residing in Singapore. It is a representative body of past and recent graduates from 80 British universities who promote and enhance the interest and welfare of members of the alumni; promote and encourage beneficial networking amongst its members; provide guidance for students currently studying or planning to study in the UK; partake in a wide range of cultural, social and educational activities and give advice and information to members of the alumni on their return to Singapore.
UEL Alumni in Singapore are invited to join British Alumni (Singapore) by current Vice-President Anthony Yee Kum Choon. Anthony would like to invite all UEL alumni to join him at the Windsor Arms on the 1st Friday of every month for 'Pub nite' - a chance to network, reminisce about the good old days and make new friends. The British Graduates Society has organised an Autumn Garden Party, an evening under the stars in the oasis of a delightful, cool and spacious garden.
Our patron the British Ambassador Dr. David Landsman will be there and is looking forward to meeting alumni from all the British universities.
You are welcome to come and join us for this party which will include welcoming drinks, a rich buffet of hot and cold mezedes, sweets and ice-cream, ‘Nespresso’ coffee and an open bar, along with the fabulous disco sounds provided by our DJ.

Paperweight magazine, the first magazine about Britain, British life and culture in Greek, is offering free subscriptions to all registered alumni of British universities residing in Greece. The magazine will be covering monthly all aspects of British life, from politics, sports and the arts to music, fashion and entertainment. Interested alumni can inspect what's on offer on our website, www.paperweight.gr, where they can also register for a free subscription.
As well as the UEL Alumni Group for USA and Canada run by Ron Graves, our alumni living in USA might be interested in another group. We would like to introduce you to British and Irish Graduates in America, an organisation established in Boston MA in 2005 to bring together alumni living and working in North America, initially in the New England area. They provide a forum for collaboration between British and Irish alumni groups in the USA and enable US-resident alumni to join in with the extended community of people who have shared educational and cultural experiences of Britain and Ireland. Last September they organised the successful British and Irish Universities Ball in Boston, which attracted over 200 alumni from more than 25 British and Irish universities.
