National strike taking place and disruption to WIFI
Please note that some staff are taking part in a national strike on Thursday 10 May over action to future changes to the Teacher’s Pension Scheme. This action is part of a national campaign and not about any specific issue here at UEL.
All scheduled exams will still be taking place on Thursday and you are expected to attend any exams. It also your responsibility to submit work for assessment as required, to fulfil any other criteria relevant to your programme and to follow prescribed procedures in applying for extenuation if necessary.
The University is keen to stress that this is a national dispute and we are doing everything we can to minimise the impact on students. If you have any queries regarding this action, please contact your school helpdesk.
Disruption to WIFI
Please note that there will be some disruption to WIFI on Wednesday 9 May between 6pm and 10pm and Friday 11 May between 6pm and 10pm.
During this time there will a number of brief outages (of no more than 10 minutes each) where we will be turning off the wifi provision in some areas in order to ensure that the backup provision works as designed. While this is happening you may notice some loss connectivity on your wireless/WIFdevices. All other network services will be unaffected.
We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.
